Halloween in San Diego

Well it was a brisk 78 here for Halloween this year, but Liam’s first Halloween could not have been better.  We took a little family outing to Bates Nut Farm, which is a local pumpkin patch I used to visit as a kid.  Liam and Andrew were sporting their costumes and of course were the center of attention.

Katy made Liam’s chef outfit because he like to help dad in the kitchen when he is cooking dinner.  It was something else!  On Halloween night we went and “trick or treated” at a few friends and neighboors houses and then came home to hand out candy.  Oh suburbia!  Now our attention is focused on Liam’s first birthday party next weekend.  It should be some event.  In fact Nana is flying out from New York just for the party!  We can’t wait!

There are more picture posted in the gallery.

Wedding in Long Island

We had an extended weekend in Long Island for Paul and Sandy’s wedding.  We had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone.  The wedding was so nice and the food was fantastic.  I must have put at least ten pounds on this trip.

We took a day trip to Atlantis Marine World which was awesome.  Supposedly it is one of the top aquariums in the nation.  There was a hands on ray and shark tank where you could actually touch the fish.  It was worth the trip and we got a lot of great photos out of it.  One funny side note, once we got back to San Diego we were watching one of Liam’s favorite Sesame Street videos, “The Great Outdoors”.  A good portion of the video was shot in this aquarium! While the aquarium was great, on the way back we stopped at a BBQ joint for lunch.  All I have to say is Beef/Pork pulled sandwich, WOW!!

For our next trip I’ll make sure I have the bugs worked out for the Karaoke system.  Although I think the family did just fine without microphones.  All said and done it was an outstanding trip.  We can’t wait to get back to Long Island for another visit.

Wan’t photos?  See them here.

PHHS BBQ at the Oceanside Harbor

Grammy wanted to throw a BBQ and invited us.  It turned out to be a perfect day, not too hot and not too cold.  The sun broke through the clouds just as everyone was arriving and the dogs and burgers were great.  We ended up with a bunch of pictures, most of them are Georgia because she was the first on there.  Not to mention she’s a put of a ham.

The boogie board pictures are great, but I think by favorite are when Liam is introduced to the ocean for the first time.  He doesn’t appear to be a big fan, but I’m sure that will change. To see the entire gallery click here.

Liam’s Got A New Scooter

Check out Liam on his new scooter.  He can only move in reverse right now, but I’m sure that won’t last long.  Click the picture to see the rest of the pictures.

F-Troop spent a week in Seattle to play in the softball World Series and we ended up placing 9th out of the top 47 teams in North America!  It was some tournament and the team played like I’ve never seen them play before.  We dished out a couple of run rule games, pulled out a nail bitter in the last inning, and left several teams wondering how they just got eliminated!  I think we are already gearing up for next year’s series in Milwaukee.

The team rented a house right on the sound which was AWESOME, what a view!  Out of the 900+ pictures I took I widdled it down to a little over 500.  These pictures are pretty much un-edited, but there are a few good ones.  We were also able to do a little sight seeing including Summit Lake, Olympia, SafeCo Field, Seattle, and Snoqualmie Falls.

The gallery is a little large so here are a few quick links into different sections.

Great Job Team!!!

Liam Goes To the Wild Animal Park

Liam and Katy went to the Wild Animal Park with Lisa and Andrew.  They had a great time, but the boys pretty much were sleeping the entire time.

I’ve also posted some new random pictures of the family, including some pictures to pull out when Liam goes to prom!!

Bon Voyage Brad and Leslie

Brad and Leslie are heading back to Granada with their little one Islebella.  Sounded like a good excuse to throw a BBQ.  It was a great day with lots of friends we haven’t seen in a while.  One major difference then previous BBQs, KIDS.  There were a few “under one’s” and of course we tired in vein to get a group picture.

Check out the rest of the pictures in the gallery.

Mom and Liam Visit New York

Katy and Liam took a summer trip out to New York.  During their whirlwind tour of the state they were able to see family and friends.  From what I hear, there were GoKarts, concerts, and Liam even ate his first authentic New York Bagel!  Unfortunately I couldn’t make this trip with them.  However, we do have new pictures up on SmugMug.

Liam is getting quite big.  He had his 9 month checkup yesterday and the doctor said he was in perfect health.  He is 29″ and weighed almost 19 pounds which still classifies him as tall and skinney.  He sat up from his belly by himself for the first time yesterday.  Mom and I are quite excited to see the progress, but we know that mean he will be mobile soon.

Too Much Fun

I was instructed a couple nights ago to put up some new pictures.  Sorry, I have been taking pictures, but not processing them.  I spent all last night going through them and got the up on smugmug.  You can view the first photo added here.

Liam is growing like a weed.  Katy is convinced that he literally grew three inches over night.  He is still a very happy baby (we are lucky for sure).  For about a month now he’s been  working on standing and is getting quite good.  I like watching his face when he attempt the “no hander” which is usually followed by a quick laugh while I’m picking him up.  I’m sure it won’t be long before he is running all over the house!  In other news, Liam is eating big boy food now.  He’s a big fan of chicken, beef, and rice and beans and is quite the eater.  Obviously he takes after is dad.

More Liam

I think I have finally made it through the backlog of pictures and the final pictures for the set have been posted.  Most of the pictures are of Liam around the house.  I got a new flash for our camera and I was testing it out.  He’s sure a fun subject.

Check out the gallery.
